A NEW BEGINNING:SPREADING SAHAJA YOGA IN SRI LANKA

BOLO SHRI ADI SHAKTI NIRMALA DEVI KI..JAI!

The background story.....

For many, Sri Lanka is known for its beautiful beaches and for many more, it is remembered as a place of war, strive and bloodbath. For decades, Sri Lanka’s Tamil Tiger rebels fought for an independent ethnic homeland. In May 2009, they were defeated, after almost 40 years of war leaving tens of thousands dead. Many have lost their lives, loved ones, livelihood, home, land and whatever they once owned. As photos and stories of the dead or suffering started circulating, an unrest started to unfold that Light must be restored, Love must be re-established and Righteousness be upheld. For a country that small, there has been too much of deaths and greif. A long time ago, this land had once belonged to Ravana and through the Maya of Shri Sita, evil in this land was destroyed through Shri Rama. One hopes history to repeat itself. Only this time, it shall be through the love of Shri Mataji.

The Miracle begins with the yogis from USA,Malaysia,India and Sri Lanka by blessing from our Mother :

•Ramany (USA) who made the clarion call

•Deviakka and Seelan (Sri lanka) the foundation of Sahaja Yoga in Sri lanka

•Abhi and Kanda (India) the dynamic yuvas

•Geja (Malaysia)

Miracle 1:

For 24 years, any travel to Jaffna or Tamil populated area required permit issued by the Ministry of Defence. On the 20th Dec 2009, the Military lifted off the requirement for MOD letter, which enabled us to travel to Jaffna and Kaitady between the 28th Dec- Jan 3rd. Apparently on the 2nd Jan, the MOD permit was reinstated.

Miracle 2:

Any travel involving passengers, goods and baggages were checked thoroughly by military and police at various checkpoints None of the foreigners (Abhi, Kanda & Geja) were checked. It was as though we were invincible to them in a packed van. There was atleast 7 checkpoints in the 13 hour journey and more than 20 barricades. Due to the prolonged war, there had been curfew initially from 6pm onwards and later from 11pm onwards. On the 1st Oct 2009, the curfew was completely lifted.

Vibrations greeting us on the way…

Whilst Sri Lanka is beautiful…the contrast is its poverty. Namely those who had lost their homes during the civil war.
